So we are walking in Hamburg, minding our own business, who do we
run in to? The princess of Sweden, visiting
the city. Heh.

What started off as a cloudy night turned into a wonderful spectacle: 15 minutes before totality, the last clouds disappeared while the moon turned red.
For the previous solar eclipse we drove to Luxemburg, only to find out it was clouded. This morning the weather was perfect, so that I could catch the eclipse at dawn (5:45 am). There should be more reasons to go out at that time, the silence is quite breathtaking. Next up: October 3, 2005.
Riding up in the ski-lift, while tons of snow were dumped on my frozen jacket,
I had the opportunity to study this particular variety of frozen water.
Amazing, the things that fall out of the sky.
Note to self: must find out more about
the way that
snow crystals form.
